Visitor Guidance

Visiting safely

A range of safety measures are in place in line with Scottish Government guidelines such as enhanced cleaning, reception screens and hand sanitising stations.

From Monday 18th April, there is no longer a legal requirement to wear face coverings but we still strongly recommend that visitors wear them to help protect themselves and our volunteers.

We want you to have a safe and enjoyable visit. During your visit, we ask you to:

Opening Hours:

From 1st August to 30th September:

Monday to Friday 10am to 4:30pm

Saturday 10:30am to 4:30pm

From 1st October - 31st March:

Monday to Friday 10am to 4:00pm

Saturday 10:30am to 1:30pm

You don't have to pre-book a museum visit, but we may limit the number of visitors in the museum at any one time. We may ask you to wait outside for a short while so that we can manage our queuing system.

Thank you in advance for your patience.
