MEMBERSHIP

The West Highland Museum Trust welcomes new members from all corners of the world. If you have a special interest in the History and Culture of the West Highlands, join us and help support the museum’s efforts to preserve and promote this unique heritage.

Anyone living in Lochaber (the Highland Council Ward 11, Caol & Mallaig, or Ward 21, Fort William & Ardnamurchan) may be an Ordinary Member with voting rights, which also allows them to be elected as a director of the Trust.  Those living furth of Lochaber may be Associate Members and those between 12 and 15 may be Junior Members.

Membership of the Trust costs only £15 per year for Ordinary Members and £7.50 a year for Associate Members.  Junior Members are free.  A concessionary rate of £25 applies for a family.

KEY ENTITLEMENTS

There are a range of benefits in membership:

  • Use of the museum’s reference library (by appointment only).
  • Receipt of the Museum’s email newsletter and a printed copy of the annual newsletter.
  • Junior members are invited to join the Museum’s Saturday Club which meets once a month in the West Highland Museum.

(Businesses and organisations can apply for corporate membership for only £100 per annum, and individuals can have life membership for £250).

 ADOPT A SHOWCASE

For just £30 a year you can Adopt-a-Showcase and have your name displayed in it – a visible way to show your support for the collection.
